Deoxycholic Acid is a bile acid that is naturally found in our body, which breaks down and absorbs fats in our diets. Deoxycholic Acid is a nonsurgical, FDA approved injection that is used for body contouring and improving the appearance of submental fullness. Deoxycholic acid is used for problem areas such as under the chin (double chin), under arms, hips, back fat, abdomen, flanks, etc. It tightens the skin and leaves a smooth appearance. Deoxycholic acid is stronger than Kybella and is a more potent mixture.

What to expect?
The problem areas will be examined to determine if you are a good candidate for this treatment and the area to be injected is marked on your skin. Small amounts are then injected in a grid like fashion into the fatty tissue. Patients will need 1-6 treatment sessions for optimal correction, spaced every 2-6 weeks. The fatty tissue that is broken down by this procedure is naturally removed from the body over the next few weeks. Swelling at treated area is very common.
How long to see results?
The visible initial results can be seen as early as 1-2 weeks after treatment, but final results are noticed around 6-8 weeks following the last treatment.
How many treatments are needed?
To achieve long lasting results, we recommend a course of three to six treatments, two to four weeks apart. Many patients also find it beneficial to come for a top up treatment every 1.5 to 2 years.
