overproduction of sebum (oil) from the sebaceous glands. The AviClear laser targets acne by selectively targeting and down-regulating the sebaceous glands to pre puberty and therefore treating that overproduction at its source. FAQs
How many treatments are needed?
Each client will have an initial consult to evaluate their skin type, acne severity, and discuss areas of concern. We will discuss expectations for treatment, review efficacy, safety and tolerability, and educate on acne skin care and the importance of compliance. We will also discuss the cost and our availability of third-party financing. Then the AviClear laser treatments are each 30 minutes, spaced each 3-4 weeks apart.
Is it safe?
Unlike other traditional acne treatments, AviClear is free from harmful side effects, free of chemicals and toxins, and safe for all skin types and tones. After starting treatment, some mild symptoms such as redness, inflammation, and acne purge can occur and is normal but will fade. We offer other spa and laser services during and after treatments to help treat and decrease those effects, as well as preventing and treating any scarring.
Who can receive an AviClear laser treatment?
AviClear can be used on adolescence and adults, on all skin types and tones, and on all types of acne. This includes mild, moderate, and severe acne that can be hormonal, cystic, inflammatory, pustules, blackheads, whiteheads, and more. This treatment can also be done all year round, though SPF is always recommended.
Is the treatment comfortable?
AviClear has skin cooling and sensory controls that maintain your skin’s temperature during treatment. This treatment does not require a numbing agent and is very tolerable.
Three treatments and that’s it. Your skin will continue to improve with time, all without the negative and lingering side effects of Accutane.
